Forest School

Our Forest School sessions offer children the opportunity to explore, play and grow through nature. From building dens and lighting fires to creating nature crafts and enjoying sensory play, every session encourages confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Children will develop their knowledge and understanding of the natural world around them, discovering natural habitats, learning about nocturnal wildlife, spotting animal footprints and identifying plants and trees. Through hands-on exploration and child-led experiences, they will have the freedom to investigate, ask questions and develop a deeper connection with nature.

Sessions are held at a private site in Hurst Meadows, providing a wonderful natural setting for children to explore and learn. Children can attend up to four ongoing sessions each term, giving them the opportunity to return regularly and witness first-hand how the natural world changes throughout the seasons.

From the first signs of spring to the colours of autumn, each visit brings something new to discover, making every Forest School session a unique adventure.

To support the delivery of these Forest School sessions, the pre school suggests a voluntary donation of £5 a session.
